Parallel capacitors

For parallel capacitors a resistor is needed in the loop when I run a simulation but I haven't seen this in any circuits, is it not needed in a real circuit?

In simulation environments, you often have to put in a large value resistor for some conditions. And no, they are not needed in general in real life (unless needed for some other reason, like bleed-off of charge or whatever).
