Solid Geometry
Is there any reason Solid Geometry is no longer taught? What exactly constitutes "solid geometry" ? Are there any good books on it?

Solid geometry usually refers to geometry of three dimensional objects (as opposed to two dimensional objects)
It's not taught as much because traditional geometry is not as popular/necessary as other forms of mathematics such as calculus and probability, and because some of the results of solid geometry can be found in calculus anyway. Calculus for the most part usurped geometry |
