Arcylic Acid - Reducing Or Oxidising Acid ?

Is Arcylic Acid a Reducing Acid Or an Oxidising Acid ?

Or does it exhibit dual character ?

Secondly, Butyl Arcylate only exhibits reducing properties - right ?

The -CO2 functional group itself is not an oxidant nor reductant. Consider the chemistry of the conjugated double bond. Can it be reduced? Can it be oxidized?
