Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around calculating the n-derivative of a complex function of a complex variable. Participants explore methods and approaches for deriving this mathematical concept.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Technical explanation, Mathematical reasoning

Main Points Raised

  • One participant suggests expanding the function as a power series to facilitate the calculation of the n-derivative.
  • Another participant mentions having taken two derivatives and observed a potential emerging pattern, but did not pursue further derivatives.
  • A different participant recommends expanding the exponential function as a power series, indicating that the pattern in derivatives would become clear.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

There is no consensus on a specific method or solution, and multiple approaches are proposed without agreement on their effectiveness.

Contextual Notes

Participants express uncertainty about the effectiveness of their suggested methods and the potential for patterns to emerge from further derivatives.

Try expanding the function as a power series.

Edit: Don't think I can help

i took 2 derivs and it looked like some kind of pattern might emerge but i did not care enough to take more. if you want to egt it you might take 4 or 5 derivatives carefully and look hard at them.

Expand the exponential function as a power series - the pattern when taking derivatives will be evident!
