Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the perceived difficulty and advancement of different branches of engineering, specifically comparing aerospace engineering and electrical engineering. Participants share their opinions on the challenges and rewards associated with various engineering fields.

Discussion Character

  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • Some participants suggest that aerospace engineering is more difficult, while others argue that all engineering disciplines have unique challenges and rewards.
  • One participant claims that chemical engineering is the hardest, while another notes that the difficulty between aerospace and mechanical engineering can vary.
  • It is mentioned that electrical engineering may be easier than some aerospace concepts due to its reliance on a few fundamental principles of electricity and magnetism.
  • A participant expresses that the topic is commonly discussed and considers it meaningless.
  • Several participants emphasize the importance of personal interest in choosing an engineering field.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not reach a consensus on which branch of engineering is more difficult or advanced, and multiple competing views remain throughout the discussion.

Contextual Notes

Participants' claims are based on personal experiences and perceptions, which may not account for all factors influencing the difficulty of engineering disciplines.

Which branch of engineering is more difficult to study and more advanced in the world, aerospace engineering or electrical engineering?

umm i would say aerospace but that's just me... and you can't really generalize engineering, all departments has its challenges, its own difficulties and its own rewards, we all you different lil gadgets and toys.
it really comes down to what type of engineering you like best... and for me it was mining

chemical is hardest

between aerospace and meche - depends. aerospace has hard courses, and its not really that 'separate' from mechanical. electrical is a bit easier than some aerospace concepts, as its based on only a few underlying principles of electricity & magnetism and their interactions

This is a commonly discussed, and completely meaningless topic.
