    Hello - I just replied to your Thyristor query - but wanted to reach out. Feel free to contact me I am in this field, and work at this power level for Thyristors, IGBT and SiC MOSFET.... I can just discuss / review if you wish. I do work for one of the manufacturers, but I am sure this is not any impact to my personal business - I can just discuss and not really try to sell you anything.

    Ha I should have put that one first since you put the Semikron link in!

    I'm playing in automotive/heavy transport traction, so 30-500kW systems with 4-800V DC links, so basically 600/650V devices and 1200V devices.

    In my past life I was part of what started as IR automotive, so we go access to full IR die catalog, then once they got bought by Infineon, those as well, although Infineon were much larger pain in the ass to deal with!

    Look up Semikron SKAI product - let me know if you have any questions. Building the electronics to do the task is only about 1/3 of the effort - the rest is hardening for a vehicle and product qualification.

    I am puzzles about how this thyristor (AC Switch ) is being used in a vehicle.

    I did put my work email - but apparently that is not even allowed in PMs?
