Finding Potential and Charge across a Capacitor in a Multi-Loop Circuit

Yeah, I got that at first too, but if you notice from the 'trick question', it's 2.00C4 = 4.7, and with algebra is 2.35. Then 2.00C2 = 2.00C4 = 2.35 as well. I got the equivalent capacitance of the circuits correct, and the charge is also correct. It's just the potential over the resistors...

Potential across a Resistor for an Ideal Battery

Ahh you're right. Thank you so much for your help. I was just starting to get convinced I needed to use all of the resistors...Much Obliged!

Potential across a Resistor for an Ideal Battery

http://i.imgur.com/WhOXp.png Here is a better view of the circuit. Sorry, it is 12 V, not 14 V. I thought at first that I could make a small loop just across R4 and R5, but that didn't work out, probably because it has to be wired through both since they are essentially connected in a...

Finding Potential and Charge across a Capacitor in a Multi-Loop Circuit

    Homework Statement A 20.0 V battery is connected across capacitors of capacitances C1 = C6 = 2.9 μF and C3 = C5 = 2.00C2 = 2.00C4 = 4.7 μF. http://imgur.com/ssxTC What are (c) V1 and (d) q1 of capacitor 1, (e) V2 and (f) q2 of capacitor 2, (g) V3 and (h) q3 of capacitor...

Potential across a Resistor for an Ideal Battery

    Homework Statement An ideal battery with an emf of = 14.0 V is connected to a network of resistances with R1 = 6.00 , R2 = 12.0 , R3 = 4.00 , R4 = 3.00 and R5 = 5.00 . What is the potential difference across R5? __R1__ __________R3__ __R2__ __R4_____R5__ __emf battery__...
