Anyone tried intercepting a radio station?

On a small scale, maybe it should be alright, like hijacking only your own radio or broadcasting signals with a very small range for example. There's even a (legal) gadget called 'iTrip' I think which can broadcast FM signals.

Anyone tried intercepting a radio station?

Rather curious to know whether anyone here tried to build a radio wave transmitter and intercept a radio station by sending radio waves of similar frequency to that of the radio station. I imagine that would be quite a fun thing to do.

Sooooooo Creepy - Unexpected Finds at ShyKids.co.uk

That's very cruel of you, you know. I only turned my neighbour's kid into a life-size clay statue by covering him with clay when he's asleep.

The recoil of an electron receding from a photon

Thx for the reply. :approve: And just to add, would this suggest a violation of conservation of energy??

The recoil of an electron receding from a photon

Hi, everyone, I'm a high school student and i want to ask if an electron moves in the same direction as the photon which is about to strike it, would it recoil away as if struck by one with a lower frequency (due to Dopler's effect/ red-shifting effect) or would it recoil as if struck by the...

Skydiving Temperature: The Impact of Air Resistance on Body Heat

Maybe because of bombardment from cosmic rays and UV rays or because the gas are more free to move about at altitudes where gravity starts weakening... I'm not quite sure though.

    An eqation for energy conversion

I thought the faster one travels, the slower the rate of things occurring... making clocks slow down is also a form of time travel, right? So energy don't have be converted to be used for time travel - kinetic energy simultaneously make an object travel through space and time at a different rate.

What is a Saiyan? Discover the powerful race from Dragon Ball Z.

No, they're not superhumans, they are alien species from another planet. I used to be a DBZ maniac  heehee! They only morph into super-saiyans when they're incredibly mad (like the Hulk) there's even the super-saiyan 2 & super-saiyan 3. Basically, the characters and the enemies get...

What Causes the Bright Streaks on Saturn's Moon Titan?

Are those sounds of the descent of Huygen from its engines or is it air currents rushing past it?? (Weird... why would anyone be bothered with sounds anyway ... ) I wonder if Huygen detects any trace of amino acid. There's probably carbon-based life on Titan. I recall reading about one...

Stargazing New Scientist Article - Pendulums + Solar Eclipse

If such phenomenum truly occur, then as far as we know, the only forms of interaction possible between the pendulum and, either the moon and the sun or both, are solar radiation and gravitational waves. I doubt solar radiation has any effect on changing the path of a foucault pedulum, so I think...

Is it wrong for people to have more than one partner?

Umm... it's wrong because it leads to the overflooding of a single person's gene? Or it is just because we humans define it as wrong, and therefore it is WRONG?
