Are There Free Development Tools Available for Testing Intel Assembly Programs?
I am in the early stages of learning Intel assembly coding, is there a free development tool available that I can use to test out an assembly program. Any other recommend sites or materials that I might use? Thanks- Ald

Frequency Response of NI Elvis Board: Calculating Amplitude Error
It is homework in the sense I'm writing up a lab on did on an active filter and I have to take into account the measurement error of the output. The spec was very vague to me, the Bode analyzer had an amplitude error of 12 bits. I just need a reasonable calculation to the error in reading the...- Ald

Frequency Response of NI Elvis Board: Calculating Amplitude Error
I've run an experiment on an active filter. I am using the NI Elvis prototyping board. The frequency response is taken with the NI Bode analyzer and I saved the output data in a text file. The Bode analyzer amplitude spec is give as 12 or 16 bits, how do I calculate the amplitude error using the...- Ald

What is causing my Pspice simulation to fail?
Thanks for your time and effort, but I have to use PSpice, it's for a class. I'll look around and see if one of the older version will do the job for me. Thanks again.- Ald

What is causing my Pspice simulation to fail?
The SW is a demo version, best I can tell no time limited. It is crippled in terms of number parts that can be configured.- Ald

What is causing my Pspice simulation to fail?
I have a simple circuit 2v supply R and Diode in Pspice that I'm trying to run a simulation on. I get the following message. "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem." I have no idea what the...- Ald

Current limiting resistor for led on 7408 gate output
I only have available a 7410 Nand (I need 3 inputs) I was going to place a 7404 inverter (all I have available) on the output to get active high output. I would like the LED to light up when output is High. Circuits are a 2 to 4 and 3 to 8 decoder. How will the inverter change anything in...- Ald

Current limiting resistor for led on 7408 gate output
To confuse matters, it turns out I need to have active high outputs. The 7408 is a nand gate I assume if I put an inverter on the output I will get an active high output. How will the inverter change anything in terms of driving the led's?- Ald

Current limiting resistor for led on 7408 gate output
I am building a 2 to 4 decoder with 7408 And gates and need to put LED's on the output as indicators, active high. 2 questions 1. Would I put a current limiting resistor in series with the LED to ground or put the resistor and LED from the gate output to Vcc? 2. The LED draws 30mA at 2V...- Ald

How Can I Determine the Effective Address in Assembly Language?
Thanks, so in the instructions below the effective address is in the operand, correct? How do I determine the address and affect registers? I am suppose to determine the effective address and the contents of any affected register (except the PC) or memory location after each of these...- Ald

How Can I Determine the Effective Address in Assembly Language?
The latextlab site seems to be down any other suggestions for information. This is an assignment from the 1st chapter of a MC68hc12 book. It doesn't explain effective addressing, just uses the term. I'm totally lost. Thanks for your help.- Ald
