How can someone achieve invisibility?
I didnt read the hole thread and hope the recently published idea by John Pendry wasn't mentioned already. A link to a BBC-Article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4968338.stm I read a more technical article the first time, but unfortunately I can't remeber the URL. U surely will get...- Alexander Demets

Graduate Discovering Burkhard Heim: A Theory of Everything?
One thing about Heim's theory is a bit unclear to me. I read somewhere (unfortunately I cannot remeber where), that his theory doesn't predict black holes because/and it comes without any singularities. (The topic there was, that it doesn't predict any particles, besides the neutral electron...- Alexander Demets

Graduate String Theory - Mind telling me what's the point?
Maybe String theory is really a theory which will change physics in the future. The ideas behind it are really good and so one has to think that at least some points behind this idea are right. But isn't the Heim Theory a thing physicsits should give a long look at? At least it is predicting...- Alexander Demets

Wireless internet opposed due to health risks
Well, then this President should ban cell phone either. Because the have a trasmitting power of about 5 W, while WLAN has about 25 mW ! So beeing surrounded by by >100 cell phones is much more risky than those few acces points. And with Quadband or even UMTS also the frequenzy is relativly...- Alexander Demets

NASA Can Human Beings Survive Long Term in Space Without Major Health Risks?
In my opinion, the moon/mars missions are everything but important! Human beeings are just not made for space! Roboters are way more effective, when it comes to these kinda things. Most off the energy/time/costs on ISS is used by holding those people alive! Much more things could be done, if...- Alexander Demets
