Hi, Did some one calculate the dispersion characteristics of TM volume modes in layered magnetized semiconductor structure?

do we talk the same concept of "backward wave"? from my understanding, backward wave is that its phase velocity has a opposite sign of its group velocity which represents the power flux direction. here your explanation seems only talk about two forward waves traveling in opposite direaction.

I do not sure what we do talk about same thing. the backward wave has negative group velocity compare to the phase velocity.

Chingkui, my equations is not the polynomial. it contains the hyperbolic functions and is diffificult to simpilify to hyperbolic functions. how can I do with homotopy continuation method?

Hi, Claude, Thank you for your helpful reply. I do not understand how "Surface Plasmon Resonance" still can propagate along the interface. my understanding is when Resonance happens energy will stop transmiiting since plasma absorb and release energy. am I right?
