Understanding Quartenion Errors and Integration for Attitude Estimation

Thanks D H for the tips. For clarification, I'm dealing with transformation and the unit quaternion is [0;0;0;1], albeit MATLAB uses [1 0 0 0] I'm also curious as to why δqτδq is not small. I have tested with an ideal case (no measurement noise) and the error in attitude is zero for 50...

Understanding Quartenion Errors and Integration for Attitude Estimation

I have two questions on the quaternion which I hope could be clarified.Homework Statement Q1) The multiplicative error quaternion has equation: q_aposteriori = [δqτ √(1-δqτ * δq)]τ χ q_apriori I have some data where δqτ * δq > 1 and thus √(1-δqτ * δq) give me an imaginary number, which is...

Overcoming Lightning: Price Issue or Something Else?

Okie...so does it mean tall building is designed for millions of volts? hmm... So does it still mean it's expensive to have the equipment built for houses?

Overcoming Lightning: Price Issue or Something Else?

Hi, I was just very curious and sort of frustrated when this topic comes to my mind. How the heck we can't overcome lightning in such a modern age? You see when there's lightning, I cant: 1)On my com 2)Online 3)On the TV 4)Pick up the phone 5)everything related to electrical and electronics...

    Water behind the microwave oven

Okie got it. Thankz a lot for the info. Yeah, I agree with you guys that we sort of go offtopic haa. So it's just simple : 1)Microwaves makes the water molecules vibrate thus produces heat. 2)The frequency(or energy) of microwaves is far too low to break DNA strand or cause mutation, even...

    Water behind the microwave oven

This is what I was talking about for: 1)simplify it: Does it matter If I stand in front of the microwave for 10sec and 10 hrs?(what i mean by accumulative). I mean it does right cause this is part of wave properties, unlike X-ray or high frequency waves that shows particle properties.Please...

    Water behind the microwave oven

I have heard my teacher say microwave won't give a damn harm to you and she's very sure of it :) She says if microwave is going to harm you, then you got to stop using your mobile phone instead. Just a thought: If microwave is such a weak EM wave(weaker than visible light), why does it bring...

Tension in Two Connected Blocks: 4KG & 5KG

Further thought to the above question by SS2006, can I know how come everytime we draw a FBD, the rope has force in both opposite direction box 1 -- box 2--- for the -- between the box1 and 2, the direction of force is box1--<-->--box2--30N *the arrow shown is for the tension of the rope...

What's Covered on the 2003 VCE Mathematics Methods Exam?

Hee that's the only book I have for now for my PRE-U and I would say it's great! At first I don't even know this book is that popular :) *Non-US

    Capacitors, Electric Fields, and Dielectrics

Is it because he thought that the electric field is decreased due to the presence of the opposite electric field set up by the dielectric? But he forget that the voltage is still applied after the insertion of dielectric, which will bring the electric field back. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.
