Your equations written as pie squared r instead of pie r squared, i think you did it right but it looks weird

if you count the distance between flash and bang it willl only tell you how far you are from the gun

Because a gun shot is a explosion the kick of the gun will have an exual force to the gunshot, so if you mesure the kick distance, then multiply that by the whieght of the gun and divide that by the whieght of the bullet, you will know how far the bullet goes

Thats the speed of the bullet you need to divide the kick distance by the weight of the gun and then multiply that by the weight of the bullet

The problem I'm having is that the wax isn't at a big enough change in temperature ill try using ice water so that by the time the wax is hot enough the water is still cold enough to remain dense. After this I'm going to try a magnifying lens to get direct heat

Vidar/ low q Im not sure where i would find a transparent hose that's long enough so that this experiment would generate energy and it would be very difficult to get a turbine in the hose. Also it would need to be a perfect ratio of density that might not even exist so that the black liquid...

So far my experiment hasn't been working at all i think the problem is that i need a very precise density. If the black liquid is too dense it won't rise when it heats up but if its too thin it will mix in with the transparent liquid

It would be easy if you knew the mass of the gun and the kick of the gun in which case you set both forces equal (h1 = h2) Or use Q= n(change in H)
