Good sources of information regarding S-parameters
Hello all, I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of any good material that explains s-parameters. So far, I have encountered explanations that just confuse with no effort put into simplifying the concept. Even my lecturer assumes that the entire class are geniuses. I don't mind...- Basher1

Guidelines for a general OLED interface
I recently bought a Tiva launchpad and have been playing around with it for the last couple of weeks. I wanted to interface an OLED module to it and was wondering what the options for this was? There is a booster pack available but this is now sold out, so I suppose that I have to create my own...- Basher1

Interpreting C pointers, dereferencing and indirection
I have been going through a book on embedded development. I have been followin the C programs in the book with about 95% success as C is not completely new to me. But I am new to pointers so I was hoping someone would kindly clear a few things for me. #define INPUT (*((volatile unsigned long...- Basher1

Designing a CPU Using Multimedia Logic - Need Advice
There are MUX's but they are all bit lines, you cannot switch buses, there is a bus tool, again they are all bit lines. I can't for the life of me figure out how that is useful, and I'm guessing there is some approach to designing processors in this software but if there is I haven't found it.- Basher1

Designing a CPU Using Multimedia Logic - Need Advice
Because not everyone else who is doing this unit has got expierience with Xilinx ISE. The reason I find it difficult is there is too many restrictions on what you can do with the components. For example, I created a 16-bit Instruction memory by placing two generic 8-bit memory components side by...- Basher1

Designing a CPU Using Multimedia Logic - Need Advice
I have recently been commanded with the task of designing a simple single cycle CPU to implement a sorting algorithm. We must design the project using multimedia logic. I have an idea how to design the processor, but I have no idea how to use this software. From my basic understanding of it, it...- Basher1

Oscilloscope Quality: ATTEN ADS1102CAL vs OWON SDS7102
haha i agree. We saw a used tektronix for $350 but no probes, an older model. I would really love an agilent or tektronix scope. However, i am a lowly student that can't afford such extravagence. But I will look to see if i can get some reviews on ebay/amazon. Thank you- Basher1
