Does Walking Transfer Energy to the Ground?

Thanks but do I still transfer a bit of energy to the ground.

Does Walking Transfer Energy to the Ground?

When I walk do I transfer energy to the ground via my foot, if so would the ground/earth than gain an extremely small amount of mass because e=mc2

Is potential energy real or fictious?

When we try to explain why, almost everything will resort to philosophy and as more and more questions are answered the more and more difficult it will be for these answers to be explained. I am also amazed that some people can just accept things without asking why. Thanks so much for the...

Is potential energy real or fictious?

Why does potential energy give mass to an object potential energy is only the "potential" for an object to have energy. How does being at a higher location cause an object to gain mass.

Can energy only be transferred if there is motion.

For example if I punch an object and it doesn't move, am I giving it energy, if so after doing that billions of times wouldn't it gain mass because e=mc2.

Newton's third law and energy transfer

In my first question you said that the box applies a force back to you, but doesn't it take energy to supply a force. And in the second question about punching the book, would the same outcome happen to any object punched repeteadly.

Newton's third law and energy transfer

If Newtons third law says there is an equal and opposite reaction how can there be energy transfer. For example if I push a box and give it 1000 joules of energy wouldn't it "give back" the energy. Also does an object have to be moved for it to gain energy, if I were to punch a book many times...
