High School Are Atoms Just a Model for the Unexplained in Programming?
Is reading ^ Thanks for the input. I'm guessing he meant absolute definitive knowledge of such a thing. He may just be an idiot, I wouldn't call him a master of anything.- BlackVenom

High School Are Atoms Just a Model for the Unexplained in Programming?
In my computer science class my prof rambled off into examples, one of which was atoms. He said that atoms were just a model for something that we really can't understand yet. Is this correct or is he under some kind of influence or a complete idiot (likely, he teaches programming 'backwards').- BlackVenom

Effect of freezing on Lithium Ion Batteries
My PSP uses a Li-ion battery. It's been in temps lower than 0c for hours multiple times and it lasted over 3 years and i never noticed a change in charge. This battery went through heavy usage too so i'd side with the little/no effect side.- BlackVenom

Can You Trust Your GPS in Remote or Challenging Conditions?
Most GPS devices can be set to stay on highways, main roads, etc. It's best if you cross-reference if you're not going to a popular destination or if you're going off on side roads. My grandparents were testing their GPS and when they were back in their, small, home town it led them on a random...- BlackVenom

ESPN's Push to 3D Programming: Pros & Cons
This morning HLN said that the NFL will be airing 3D games very soon. They said when but I don't remember. Sony is working on a 3d system for the PS3 that does not need a 3d screen or glasses but works on motion/tilt sensor.- BlackVenom

I have a Canon TP-8, it's circa 70s or 80s, and it still prints. Doesn't seem to be worth much though.- BlackVenom

How would I increase the flash rate of an LED?
I created an led flasher using a 555 IC, 2 1k Ohm & 1 100 Ohm resistor, and 1 1000uF and 1 .01 uF capacitor. If you need to know exactly how it's wired up I can make a schematic. My question is how would I increase the flash rate? I need a flash of about 3(up to 5) per second. As you can tell...- BlackVenom
