Coefficient Kenetic Friction and Kenetic Force
I used free body diagram and based on numbers that we have, I didn't get the right answer for the coefficient of kenetic friction (mu k), which should become 0.061. I can't figure out how to get to here.. it's so frusterating.. please help clearify the steps.- BluE

Coefficient Kenetic Friction and Kenetic Force
Hey, can you guys help me out with this... A 75 kg box slides down a 25 degree ramp with an acceleration of 3.6 m/s^2 ...what is the coefficient of kenetic friction? I know how to do the basic equation problems from what our teacher told us, but I don't know how to manipulate the...- BluE

Solve Friction Problem: Find Car Mass and Normal Force
Yes, I've drawn a free body diagram, but I'm not sure how to solve it now. I have not solved questions using friction before. Do I need to find the x and y components and go from there?- BluE

Solve Friction Problem: Find Car Mass and Normal Force
Hi, I got stuck on this and need help... So, the given info are: theta = 10 degrees force, applied = -2.00 x 10^4 N and mew k = 0.797 gravity = 9.81 m/s^2 Is that right? Now this is where I'm stuck.. I'm not sure what I need to find first and the equations to use to find it...- BluE

High School A few problems for math league
1.) If x and y are positive integers, and 2003x=2004y, what is the least possible value of x? Wait- 2003x=2004y x=2004y/2003 x/y=2004/2003 so x=2004 and y=2003? That makes sense...- BluE

Well, I'm not sure about the first and second, but I think I understand the third one. It looks like a trinomial squared.- BluE

Okay, here's a third one. I have to put it in separate pieces because it keeps sticking together in one line. 3.) a^2 - b^2 \neq 0- BluE

High School A few problems for math league
Let's see... I couldn't find the answers to these. They look fun- maybe you can find the solutions. 1.) If x and y are positive integers, and 2003x=2004y, what is the least possible value of x? 2.) An integral triangle is a triangle with positive side-lengths and a positive area. Such a...- BluE

How Do You Find the Molecular Formula for a Compound with a Given Molar Mass?
What, did I say something wrong? Oh. Now I see. 14 and 16 are the amu of them. I didn't look at it. -

How Do You Find the Molecular Formula for a Compound with a Given Molar Mass?
If N=14 and and N=O/3, then 14=O/3 so O=14/3=4.66666... but you say O=16. I think I'm confused. -

High School What is the largest number less than 1?
Ah, okay. Sorry, and thanks. And since there is no "greatest number less than one" then that means there is no "greatest number less than x" when x is equal to any real number, right?- BluE
