Undergrad Why is Black body radiation continuous?
My name is Bradley and I am a first year university student attending Intro to Quantum mechanics lectures but didn't understand... Why the black body radiation curve (unlike the quantized emission seen from atomic spectra), is continuous over all frequencies. I am wondering what exactly gives...- Bradley Tafe

Do you get paid for doing a PhD in physics?
Thank you. Also, I'm curious to know why the Universities fund you. What do they get out of funding you and where do they get the money from?- Bradley Tafe

Do you get paid for doing a PhD in physics?
I'm wondering weather it would be a good idea for me do do a PhD in Cosmology after my masters degree I plan to do in Physics. Although one of my friends said there may be a cost of around £3000 per year to do this. However, another friend said PhD's are funded and pay £16,000 per year. Which...- Bradley Tafe

Undergrad Help me understand magnetic flux linkage
Magnetic flux linkage = BAN B=magnetic field strength per unit area A=Area of conductor moved through the magnetic field N=Number of coils I don't understand when my physics textbook says the area of a single coil of wire moved through the magnetic field is π×radius of coil^2 as most of the...- Bradley Tafe
