ok basically i want a pully system which has a 5kg attatched to it on the way up. Then it reaches 'the top' and on the way down it weighs 8kg. So it somehow attaches to something at the top and once at the bottom, it detatches and weighs 5kg again and once at the top it attaches to something and...

This is going to seem a somewhat basic question to most people. However, I am trying to build a project where a weight on a pulley weighs 5kg on the way up but 8kg on the way down, then 5kg on the way up and 8kg on the way down, and so on... So its heavier on the way down. I was just wondering...

Ok, I understand what u are saying! If it was a one consistent noise with one frequency! What appuratus would be able to only pick out that, apose to other noises! Thanks

Just need to recoginise one noise! A blender was an example! So that it knows the sound of a blender, but when it hears a "cement mixer" sound, nothing would happen! Please please help!

Well I do what it as a final project! So if I can buy it, GREAT, if I have to build it, so be it! But does that mean it's possible for a devise to just 'hear' one sound! And what type of component is it(just for future reference) many thanks

Sorry, there was no clarity in what I was asking! But yer basically Is there a device that only picks up this frequency/only picks up this frequency and above! And displays in whichever means possible(a gragh, by a light bulb, etc...) if this frequency is heard!
