Graduate How does gravity affect organism size on different planets?
No, the organism's own gravitational field would put limits on its growth then.- Captain Barbosa

Where to Get Small Brushless DC Motors
Wow, thanks for giving me the idea of cd-rom motors! A quick Google showed tons of sites with information on modifying and using them. I'll be sure to check out that RC groups site. For my purposes I can probably even just glue the mirrors directly on to the rotor can.- Captain Barbosa

Where to Get Small Brushless DC Motors
I only found one motor on any of those sites that's brushless, and there aren't many specs that they show for it. Maybe I should just cannibalize a few computer fans. It would certainly be easier than trying to hunt down the motor separately. Some of those sites are pretty cool though, thanks...- Captain Barbosa

Where to Get Small Brushless DC Motors
Hopefully this is the appropriate forum for this sort of question, but I was wondering if any of you might know where I could buy small brushless DC motors online. I've been Googling around for a while, but most of the ones that I found are too large and expensive for what I need, as they're...- Captain Barbosa

Can we create a radially oriented magnet without inequality or jagged edges?
You can get arc shaped magnets with the magnetic orientation you're looking for at rare-earth-magnets.com. I hope it's what you need. :) I would have posted a direct link, but I don't have 15 posts yet.- Captain Barbosa

Thane Heins and his free energy machine
Thought you guys might find this article interesting and that maybe it would spark some conversation. What are your thoughts on this? I think it's pretty incredible, but there has to be something that limits the process so that he can't take power away from the motor completely. Video...- Captain Barbosa

High School Concentrating sunlight to creat different extream temperatures
Here is a 20.5" x 36" fresnel I just found that you can buy for 80 bucks plus shipping. http://www.alltronics.com/cgi-bin/item/24L021/32/20%2E5%22%2DX%2D36%22%2DGiant%2DFresnel%2DLens Some of them are a bit out of your price range, but here are some more to choose from if you want...- Captain Barbosa

High School Concentrating sunlight to creat different extream temperatures
Assuming the lens could survive the already concentrated energy, I don't see why not. For the budget thing, how can we keep a limited budget in mind if we have no idea what that budget is? Are we talking tens, hundreds, or thousands of dollars here?- Captain Barbosa

High School Concentrating sunlight to creat different extream temperatures
*tsk tsk* They're called welding goggles my friend... The biggest lens I have is a 8.5"x11" fresnel page magnifier.:frown: Douglas, your question might be easier to answer if we had a general ballpark on your budget.- Captain Barbosa
