Hi e,bar.goum
I did an error writing up the energy on excel. I do not know 1.48MeV comes from.
"this is the energy of the scattered photon, the energy of the electron is the energy of the photopeak less this energy"
So the energy that I calculated will be the energy of the gamma photon after...
Hi mfb
Thanks for the hint.
Reading couple of paper I found out that for the kind of gamma I am using (Co60) most of the lattice damage will be done by Compton scattering. As a result of that the relation between the energy of the gamma and the recoil electron should be...
Hi everyone,
For one of my PhD project I am trying to calculate the minimum energy required to displace a carbon atoms with gamma rays.
Knowing the displacement energy (Ed) for C in diamond (30 -40 eV), I've managed to calculate the minimum energy required using electron with the formula...
Thanks.
So can I take such values as a ratio??
I mean: 3.0:1.0:0.1:276
So if I fix a volume of 250 ml of water which means 13.877 mol, I need to divide the mols for 276 and then multiply for the ratio.
i.e. for Al2O3 --> 13.887*(1/276) and for NaCl 13.887*(0.1/276)
Right?
Hi guys,
I'm facing a problem.
I've read a paper where they tried to synthesise a crystal and they give the following reaction mixture molar composition:
3.0 SiO2
1.0 Al2O3
0.1 NaCl
276 H2O
What does it means?
It can't be the molar fraction since the sum of all the fraction must give 1 as...
Studying the free electron model I found the fermi dirac distribution and the book told me that when T->0 we have that the fermi energy is equal to the chemical potential... why?
