    Is Marijuana Decriminalization Overdue?

I've got a roommate that smokes all the time. In fact, I think he just got done smoking. I'd say he does it on average 2-3 times per day. I personally think it should be decriminalized. It doesn't really harm anyone. If the people that use it want to spend $250 an ounce to be lazy and listen...

    Selling yourself without sounds pretentious

I am currently having this problem as well, writing essays for transfer admissions. I find it hard to say things in 250 or 500 words or less. Luckily I have a father who is a writing professor and an advanced writing tutor girlfriend to bounce ideas off of.

Engineering Best language to learn for a career in science/engineering?

I would look at developing areas, i.e. China, Latin America, Southeast Asia. These places have the most likely chance at developing an economic and scientific boom as their GDP grows. I think it has a lot to do with what field you want to go into. I have decided on civil engineering, so it...

Have you volunteered with Engineers Without Borders for clean water projects?

I have finally decided on Civil Engineering (with a concentration in water resources engineering), and want to spend some time developing clean water resources for people in need. Until just a short time ago I did not know this organization existed, so I was wondering if anyone has any...

Discover the Truth About Career Happiness: Insights from Mike Rowe | Forbes

I think the point of the article is to not blindly follow one's dreams, but to have the ability to reflect on what you are doing and making sure that it is still part of your "dream". As a watcher of Dirty Jobs, you notice that most of these people take advantage of an opportunity that comes...

Avoid This Movie: A Review of "Water Bandit"

I liked both, so that's a "yes" from one person.

Avoid This Movie: A Review of "Water Bandit"

Completely agree with you, the scene you mention was one of those "oh come on moments" for me. Of course, if movies were to get realistic, good guys would die in about two minutes. Either that or these bad guys are all blind and have really bad aim. Still liked the movie though:approve:

Avoid This Movie: A Review of "Water Bandit"

You have a point, though apparently these latest films are a closer portrayal of Fleming's Bond. That's just what I hear, I haven't read the original novels. However, since it looks like the movie has already profited the studio a cool $100 million dollars, I don't think they are going to...

Avoid This Movie: A Review of "Water Bandit"

Also, completely aside from the plot of the movie, the cinematography was fantastic.

Avoid This Movie: A Review of "Water Bandit"

I liked this movie, though not as much as Casino Royale (though it did seem to pick up hours after Casino Royale ended). I always disliked the complete absurdity of previous Bond movies, mainly the impossible gadgets and stunts. This movie, to me, had two "oh come on" moments, but I lived...

News Is America Stocking Up on Guns Due to Fear of Obama?

I am somewhat torn on this issue. I think there's more of a handgun problem than assault rifle problem. Most murders with unregistered firearms are made with handguns, not assault rifles. However, in a "killing spree" scenario, the assault rifle is a much more dangerous weapon. I personally...

News Vote Now: Polls Open in Eastern USA

It looks like Obama will pick up NC and IN, but probably lose MO. That would give him 364 EV. Not too shabby.

News Vote Now: Polls Open in Eastern USA

So apparently there were 160 million registered voters in the US (from a wiki, so I don't know how credible it is). With the CNN poll showing that approximately 118 million voted, we had a turnout of 73.75%. Not bad, but not as high as some people were predicting.
