High School Hp/Kw required to move 1.5L/m of diesel fuel at 17.2 Bar?
Okay wise guy, you want to get smart with me? Look I am just searching for a quick answer. I am not going down an absurd route of columbs, amperes, volts, watts, kilopascales, and Newton meters. Time is money and I have none to waist good day.- Chincha40

High School Hp/Kw required to move 1.5L/m of diesel fuel at 17.2 Bar?
kW=Kilowatt that is 1000 watts. Sorry I assumed everything here was metric or nothing and that people here would know units of power. I need to stop making assumptions. It seems most of this forum isn't really tuned to these sort of questions by looking at the popular topics discussed.- Chincha40

So what units of power is that in? Kw?- Chincha40

High School Hp/Kw required to move 1.5L/m of diesel fuel at 17.2 Bar?
How much Hp/Kw required to move 1.5L/m of Diesel fuel at 17.2 Bar? Please note this is for a real life problem.- Chincha40

Ljungström turbine, general info?
I'm currently building a turbo-shaft engine and I am trying to find a good, yet simple to build free power turbine for extracting the exhaust energy of the jet engine. The Ljungström turbine seems promising as it is compact and easily machined from a 3 axis cnc machine. Does anyone know of the...- Chincha40

Undergrad Is there a way to lower critical mass?
I don't know. I would assume it to be better homogenization with the moderators (water/heavy water obviously) and the fact that aqueous solutions are liquid making it much easier to get a spherical shape needed for criticality. Homogenized reactors (AHR, TRIGA) have always preformed...- Chincha40

Undergrad Is there a way to lower critical mass?
The lowest critical mass I know of is Americium 242m (m for meta stable which for this isotope has a half life longer than the non meta stable) in an optimally moderated aqueous solution (probably a AmO2 and D2O slurry in a specific ratio) and water reflected has a critical mass of just 20...- Chincha40
