Engineering Input and Output Impedance of circuit
Yes, U is a voltage. I was referring to the scheamtic above, but I can show an updated one, I should have been more clear (in red the currents are IB1, IB2, IC). Furthermore, I can show you what current I have calculated so you know what I mean. My question was if my reasoning in the message...- David331

Engineering Input and Output Impedance of circuit
Thanks for clarifying. I only have one more question. This is atleast how I have understood it, correct me if I am wrong. When I calculated U between amplifier 1 and 2 I had the input impedance from amplifier 2 in my calculations. The inimpedance of the FET is infinity (given in the...- David331

Engineering Input and Output Impedance of circuit
Oh, so Zin2=Rload for amplifier 1? Because in my notes I have that Rload does not affect the outputimpedance. When you decide Zout you remove Rload. This is how my examiner said. Have I understood it wrong or?- David331

Engineering Input and Output Impedance of circuit
Of course, but I cannot find the particular thing I search for: how amplifier 1 affects Zin2 and vice versa. Because if I for example only had the second amplifier I know that the inimpedance is R4//R5...- David331

Engineering Input and Output Impedance of circuit
Hi, I have a question regarding a transistorscircuit. I have drawn the small signal model of the circuit in the first picture, with capacitors replaced with short-circuit and grounded "-E". Furthermore, this simplified small signal model, with 1/g0, h22, h12 neglected. So, for this circuit is...- David331

Engineering Input and Output Impedance of circuit
Hi, I have a circuit with 3 transistors I want to rewrite to a small signal model. When multiple transistors are in the circuit I get confused how to do it. This is the signal model and small signal model I have. Is it wrong?- David331

Engineering What is the significance of a -4V gate potential in FET-transistors?
Hmm I think we are not allowed to pick Rs as you say, even though if it in practice works this way. We "must" solve equations in this way, as the examinator did. But now that you say it, I see that I can relate R4 and R5 with Vg, but how do I do it?- David331

Engineering What is the significance of a -4V gate potential in FET-transistors?
I can show the entire assignment, although it is in Swedish. I forgot to say, but all the other resistances are known, as well as the h- and g- parameters. I can show you how I am thinking. Firstly I analyze the second amplifier stage using DC and I get the circuit below. I then use KVL to get 3...- David331

Engineering What is the significance of a -4V gate potential in FET-transistors?
Hmm I am kinda new to transistor so I do not know what pinch-voltage is. The full circuit is as below; the source node is not at ground potential. The task of the assignment is to solve for R4, R5, RS, RD with IDQ, UDSQ, UP , IDSS known and that the gate-potential must be -4V ( and that the...- David331

Engineering What is the significance of a -4V gate potential in FET-transistors?
Hi, not really a homework question just a quick question regarding FET-transistor. If the gate potential is -4V does that mean that in the figure below that uGS is -4V. If not, what does it mean and how do you use it in a bigger circuit problem?- David331

Engineering Maximal effect in an AC circuit
Thanks for the answer! So, you got exact values of R1 and C2? Maybe there is just some rounding errors in prior computations? I will doublecheck my numbers once more.- David331

Engineering Maximal effect in an AC circuit
Hello again, I have a solution for the question, but as it is my first time solving these types of exercises I am uncertain if I my solution is correct. The first picture represents the exercise with the circuit and the second is the just some rewrites of the circuit, in swedish. Picture 3 and 4...- David331
