High School Is all Math nothing more than addition?
"Nothing more" makes it sound bad. Do you think that all math is based on addition and subtraction? For example multiplication is a method for repetitive addition, is all math in a form or another just a more complicated way to use addition/subtraction?- Deicider

Undergrad Is Categorizing Mathematics into 10 Levels Effective?
I saw somewhere that mathematics can be divided into 10 sections, i quote: "1-Arithmetic 2-Basic Logic and Set Theory: proof techniques and reasoning, Sets, operations on sets, mappings, binary relations (you'll need that if you expect to go anywhere beyond arithmetic..)...- Deicider

How physicists handle the idea of Free Will?
Didn't really read the thread so this post is to the point of why free will is nonsensical. Free will is an impossible concept. Because either all physical interactions are pure random or determined there can't be no -what you call- "free will". If they are all determined then the outcome is...- Deicider

Graduate Heisenburg's Uncertainty Principal and the definition of randomness
Ok let me rephrase from the previous thread: Casual randomness= an action that has too many variables to predict the outcome. An action with a source of energy that will react accordingly but from our frame of reference and tools we can't measure good enough to predict the outcome. True...- Deicider

Graduate Is True Randomness Possible in Our Determined Universe?
No, i disagree, if we had an hypothetical instrument that didn't affected the particle we could exactly know the full information of photon/electron.- Deicider

Graduate CERN team claims measurement of neutrino speed >c
But many different groups did the experiment and they all got the same results. If there was an error don't you think the world scientific community would point it out? I mean this took the scientists AND the public by surprise, so everyone is out to get the answer, don't you think if there...- Deicider

Graduate Is True Randomness Possible in Our Determined Universe?
First let's define random. Randomness of flipping a coin: Once you flip the coin you can measure the spin, force, etc and determine how it will end up. It is random to our perception but predictable with tools, and is a deterministic system. Randomness of a quantum position: If you try...- Deicider

Graduate CERN team claims measurement of neutrino speed >c
So FTL neutrinos confirmed after all, no error whatsoever. So it seems measurement wasn't the issue after all. I think its pretty obvious that there is a limit on speed, this is easily can be observed as particles gain mass as they approach light speed. That leaves the possibility of us...- Deicider
