Undergrad Question on Earth's magnetic field
This might sound silly but...If you produce a magnetic field of large magnitude, does it locally distort the Earth's magnetic field? I figured that it might, but I didn't know how to go about analyzing it.- DeltaDeltaDelta

Graduate Oscillatory motion of a spring-mass system
Woops, that was a typo...thanks for pointing that out lzkelly. I did mean to use a different variable, like Y=Acos(kx-wt).. So do you mean...I can take the wavenumber k=2pi/lambda, which would be it's spatial component or I can take k=2pi/T? i.e. k is then angular frequency?- DeltaDeltaDelta

Erupting Volcano Kinematics in 2D problem
