Solving a Parabola Question: Help Appreciated
that makes sense i think there's a typo on the assignment then cause it says (p,q) are the coordinates of the vertex in the form of y=a(x-p)^2+q and then it gives y=2(x-4)^2-3- DethRose

Solving a Parabola Question: Help Appreciated
was trying to graph this and isn't the vertex (-4,-3), so then how could those x intercepts be right since they are both on positive side of the x axis, and the vertex is in the negative side?- DethRose

Im In a 1st Year University math class and its been a while since i did this stuff and can't remember if I am doing this question right so any help would be much appreciated. The question is to find all the info from the equation y=2(x-4)^2-3 I used the b+/- b^2 -4ac... equation and ended...- DethRose

Solve 2sin(2x): Table of Values & Graph (-π to π)
I have a question that says: prepare a table of values and plot the graph for the domain (-pie,pie) for the function f(x)=2sin(2x) I understand how to do that for y=sinx, but for this function the wave compresses horizontally and stretches vertically so isn't the domain now (-pie/2,pie/2) and...- DethRose

One More Trig Identity Problem
how can cosx and cos2x both be 1/5? Also here's how i did those 2 questions I am just wondering why they are wrong? cos2x=1-2sin^2x =1-2(-2 squareroot 6/5)squared =1-2(24/25) =23/25 tan2x=2tanx/1-tan^2x =2(-2 squareroot 6)/1-6 =-4 squareroot 6/-5 =4 squareroot 6/5- DethRose
