How can I use the Excel solver to solve systems of equations?
Graphing always works when in doubt just graph them and see what kind of a soluiton set you get. Remeber greater then shades up and less than shades down.- dlaszlo88

How Do You Calculate Tension and Compressive Forces in Engineering?
These Forces are in equilibrium and aren't moving so when you setup your (Sum)F = ma in the x and y direction the right side of the equation will go to 0. Leaving you with (Sum)Fx = 0 and (Sum)Fy = 0. From there I'm not to sure with a tensile factor what equation to use but I'm guessing that...- dlaszlo88

How Does Heat Transfer Affect Entropy Between the Sun and Earth?
The forumula that you would want to use is Gibb's Free Energy Equation. deltaG = Heat of Formation - (TdeltaS) then with a little calculus you can reach the forumula S = e^-deltaG/RT and don't forget to change to the correct units.- dlaszlo88

Solving a Physics Problem: Inverted Image & Lens Separation
I have this Physics Problem which I am not to sure where to start it from. The problem is: A real inverted image I of an object O is formed by a certain lens. The object-image speration is d = 0.40m, measured along the central axis of the lens. The image is just half the size of the...- dlaszlo88
