Academics are obviously very important, but there is more to choosing a college than just rankings.
Where are you from?
Do you have a strong desire to live in florida, or ohio, or indiana?
Are there companies near any of the colleges that you want to some day work for?
Are there attractions...
When you say 100% disk utilization, do you mean 100% of the space is being used, or 100% of the bandwidth from the disk/sata port is being used.
i had a hard drive fail by going 100% utilization, it had some shorted wires inside the device

The arudino has a barrel jack that is commonly used for power. You can use any dc power source to power it (recommended in the 9-12 V range, although it can be 5-20 I think)
To give perspective I am an electrical engineer, but I have used nodal networks to analyze some heat problems as well. I will take a shot at answering this question.
A nodal network is simply a mathematical/graphical tool to represent and derive values. see the following link for reference...
College is a very big milestone for most students. As important as studies are, it can be beneficial to explore new places and experiences. I would not necessarily choose reed over caltech because it is in your hometown alone.
You only live once, moving to a new area will encourage you to...
What is your major GPA?
I was in a situation where I slacked off my freshmen year. As a result my major gpa was MUCH higher than my actual gpa. Also is there a trend when you look at your gpa per semester or per year that you can show?
take the below example.
student A: 3.0 gpa all 4 years...
Hey Everyone,
Sorry for taking so long to respond. Work had a flareup last week and I never got to respond. I have read through all the responses and am almost done with an initial draft, using quite a few of your suggestions. I will follow up in a few days!
That is one point that I have not quite considered! It's unfortunate that bad actions of a few can affect the lives of many, but such is life.
I appreciate the feedback I've received from you all. as a follow up I'll attempt to write a FAQ (although I will likely request some input before...
That would actually be great!
While the links could help, I think it is the outright ban that's my point of contest. I've seen a lot of people with a fundamental misunderstand of basic mathematics or physics on this site. In fact the thing that brought me to this site was not understanding...
Hi,
In my years spent on this forum, I have noticed that topics regarding perceptual motion are often brought up, sometimes indirectly. In many cases these posts are based on false theories bordering on "crackpot" level thinking. In others however they are posed in a "why is this not...
that's not true at all.
signals and systems is a mathematical construct class. you don't need circuit theory, the circuit theory is an application. Do you not think that topics like Fourier transforms and laplace come up in non electrical fields?
What you are saying is analogous to saying...
One thing you will need to remember. The Earth (and other structures, items, electronics, anything really) will generate a magnetic field. This will NOT be uniform and could change based on time and your location. Your reading will also change based on the angle and direction of the gaussemeter...
signals and systems classes is a general class that one can take and study with zero knowledge of circuits whatsoever. circuits is just an application. When you go to school for say electrical engineering, often signals and systems is taught with circuits in mind, but it doesn't have to be.
