Graduate Yet another double slit thread.

I don't think there's a double-slit "problem" at all, if you just accept the wave-particle duality of light as intrinsic. You don't need "many worlds" to do this

Graduate Does the Universe Rotate and Does it Have an Axis?

Doesn't w increase along with r in a bounded, rotating Universe (which by definition has a gravitational center)?

Graduate Cosmological principle and quasar distribution

The Standard Model depends on the CP (and GR) and although the CP isn't "unfalsifiable" it's also unprovable. The quasar issue isn't the only problem for the CP. The quadrupole and octupole modes of the WMAP that seem to orient along the ecliptic plane is a problem. The Pioneer anomaly is a...

The Universe - infinite or not ?

The quadrupole and octupole modes of WMAP seem to have an interesting orientation along the ecliptic plane... A bounded, finite Universe with a center of gravity would account for a number of things, including the Pioneer anomaly, and wouldn't require either a hot BB, Inflation (which is in big...

Opinions about April SciAm article about inflation inflation by Steinhardt?

There's been a growing restlessness with Inflation as originally developed. I'm surprised Steinhardt didn't mention the Weeks article/paper/study at all, although that DID appear in a competitor's magazine.:) Even Guth admits that if Weeks is right, Inflation is dead. I come to not bury Guth...
