Oh. I'm sorry about that. What I was trying to say is that R1 will be REPLACED with whatever load I want. All 12V loads ranging from 3A-10A or more. Idk yet. The goal is the 12V 3A motor. Sorry about the confusion. I guess I should have just put a motor schematic symbol instead of the load...
This is for experience. The goal is to control high current loads with a micro controller. Motors, large DC light bulbs, etc. Basically all with semiconductor devices (aka no relay). A relay is the obvious choice but I've already completed operating these loads using a micro controller and a...
I'm looking on digikey for an SCR and there is a parameter that concerns me:
Voltage - On State (Vtm) (Max)
It seems the maximum voltage rating for this parameter is 3.7V. I must be misunderstanding what this parameter means. Is there somewhere I could look up what it means?
I plan to run a...
wow thank you all so much for the replies. I had no idea! I actually enjoy researching and looking for components I just needed a better strategy. Thank you all for the tips. I think it will help me in my future projects. I will probably be posting in this forum more since I am now studying...
When you need a component (ex. SCR) with specific requirements (ex. 12amp max and less than 20mA gate trigger current) how do you go about finding the component? How do you know what's out there for purchase in extremely small quantities (like just a few). This always becomes a problem when I am...
Awesome. So how do I figure out the force of the first person. I have the mass (125kg) and gravity (1.67m/s2, but I'm not sure how you get the force with that. Gravity doesn't really affect the horizontal force I wouldn't think.
Homework Statement
2 people. one has a mass of 125kg and pushes the other. the other travels 4m before stopping. the initial velocityof the push is 5.75m/s. Gravity is 1.67m/s2. What is the force acted on the second person.
Homework Equations
Is it even possible to figure this out...
