Asymmetric uncertainty intervals in astrophysical data
My motivation is to find an average value of the observed quantity, and calculate a percent uncertainty. I am doing an ML project related to astronomical observations, and I am trying to do feature engineering to obtain better results from the model.- ElectroFractal

Asymmetric uncertainty intervals in astrophysical data
My initial guess was to calculate the upper and lower value, and then average those two values, but I don't know whether this is correct to make the uncertainty interval symmetric. After I calculated the average value, I subtracted it form the upper and lower value, and obtained the symmetric...- ElectroFractal

Modeling/Analysis of optical fibers
Hello PF, I need some guide points to help me formulate a project idea on the topic of optical fibers. Namely, the professor suggested I should look for topics on modeling of optical fibers, analysis of different optical fibers, characteristics etc. and to work in a simulator, or perform a...- ElectroFractal

Undergrad Holography used in telecommunications
Hi PF! I am interested to know whether there are applications of holography in telecommunications, and if there is research on this topic. If there is some literature on this topic (provided holography is used in computer networking) where I can read and learn more in-depth about this topic, I...- ElectroFractal

Other Computational physics bachelor project any ideas?
If have sufficient time for a larger project. I doesn't matter if I write code from scratch or work on an existing code. I have enough knowledge of computational physics obtained by a regular course. I know all the basics.- ElectroFractal

Other Computational physics bachelor project any ideas?
I am coming closer to finishing my undergraduate studies, and thus, I need to write a bachelor project on a certain topic. There are millions of topics, and fields to choose from, and I simply don't know what to choose. I did some thinking, and research, and realized that the most feasible area...- ElectroFractal
