Hi I'm starting an engineering club in my school and I'd like some ideas of engineer-like projects to make.
I'm really concerned with it being interesting and it being something that people want to be a part of considering my school is pretty uninvolved.

I was browsing through the content section of my book and see the word particle mentioned many times in many chapters. Each time I read I start thinking that maybe it can mean more than subatomic particles.
I commonly deal with particles with point masses and things of the sort and I'm not sure...
What would happen if you were to fly a starship traveling near the speed of light directly into a black hole?
Would it stay in tact because it cannot be accelerating any faster?
Or would it split because it's being accelerated in all directions simultaneously?
Is it possible to have a flame that's not hot to the touch?
I'm not sure how fire/flames work but if they can burn underwater I don't see how they can't somehow be safe to the touch
