Ah ha, so you go from the terminals towards the ground, not from the ground towards the terminals! I was calculating voltage in the wrong direction. Thank you very much!- enthdegree

Engineering Voltage drop across a diode in a high-amperage circuit
I'm given a strange single-diode circuit where you must find out whether or not the diode is on. See the top diagram in the linked image: http://i.imgur.com/y1sn3.png (Current source is indeed 1 Amp, not 1mA as the 2kΩ resistor would suggest. Please do not try to correct the initial question...- enthdegree

Velocity squared veurses distance
Homework Statement I've calculated the maximum velocity of a mass at the bottom of a pendulum given various amplitudes. I've also gotten the distance that mass falls from it's angle furthest from the extreme to it's lowest point. I'm being asked to graph the maximum velocity squared vs the...- enthdegree

A block on a frictionless slope slides down and compresses a spring
Homework Statement Hello, folks. I know this same problem has been answered before here but the previous responses are just not doing it for me, sorry! An inclined plane of angle θ = 20.0° has a spring of force constant k = 495 N/m fastened securely at the bottom so that the spring is...- enthdegree
