Graduate One family of fermions SU(2)LXU(1)
Hello, all If now I only have one family of fermions (a neutrino, a charged lepton, an up-type quark and a down quark), what is going to change of the Lagragian and also the Feynman rules of SU(2)LXU(1) electroweak theory? Euphemia- Euphemia

The bigger words is the main description. The smaller words is my own work, I don't know if I get the wrong Christoffel connections or something else.- Euphemia

Undergrad Spontaneous Process and Irreversibility
Hi,all My problem is following this picture! http://mykomica.org/boards/shieiuping/physics/src/1325318780058.jpg If the system is isolated, dQ is always zero. Sb-Sa ≥0 And it satisfies the requirement of spontaneousness in isolated systems. So ,I do wonder if irreversible process is always...- Euphemia

Undergrad Is DFT Still the Go-To Method for Electronic Structure Calculations?
That's a fair point. Thank you for your notification. I am fascinated by the original idea of DFT, but this theory turns out not really work very well and become very messy. I still want to give it a shot! Since I'm still an undergraduate, there is no need to be hurry to settle down.- Euphemia

Undergrad Is DFT Still the Go-To Method for Electronic Structure Calculations?
Ya, you're probably right. But I think the theory still not complete yet! There are a lot of fine models, and none of them is really based on the first principle. So I guess there is still something I can do!- Euphemia

Undergrad Is DFT Still the Go-To Method for Electronic Structure Calculations?
Hi,all Is there someone's research related to DFT? I'm an undergraduate trying to get into it. I hope I could get some help hear if I have any question about that! Thanks a lot,Euphemia- Euphemia
