Solving a Math Problem with Constants and Limits: Find a and b
Given a, b are constants and lim x approch 1, a root x+3 - b all over x-1 equals 1. Find a and b No clue how to answer this, but this is what I think i can do a) get rid of the sqrt b) apply limit See, the problem is I have to unknows so i don't know what to do- gator

Vertical Asymptote of f(x) = 2x/sin2x
so like (e^x - 1)(e^x2 -e^x +1) so I now have e^x2 - e^x +1- gator

Vertical Asymptote of f(x) = 2x/sin2x
and a quick question on limits lim x right arrow 0 e^3x -1 / e^x -1 since anything to the root 0 is 1 you get 1-1/1-1 = 0- gator

Vertical Asymptote of f(x) = 2x/sin2x
lol yea! now are you any good at continuity? I have a question using the def. of continuity to determine the points at which the function is no continuous and indicate whether the discontinuity is removable or not f(x) = HUGE bracket (x+1)absolute value x-2 all over 2 sqrt x+1 x<0...- gator

Vertical Asymptote of f(x) = 2x/sin2x
ok, i have you until the last sentsnce. if "k" is an interger, then the amount of VA's i could have is endless. Im also a little lost on what i should write down on my assignment by the way, thanks for all this help- gator

Vertical Asymptote of f(x) = 2x/sin2x
sin2x is zero when x=1/2 pi ? since that would mean sin = pi which would be zero on the denom- gator

Vertical Asymptote of f(x) = 2x/sin2x
sin = zero @ pi (180* on unit circle) yep, covered limits. But in our notes he covers finding the VA without using limits (weird i know) so I am not sure- gator

Vertical Asymptote of f(x) = 2x/sin2x
The only thing that would have the denom zero would be zero (sin2(o)) = 0 but that would cause the nom to become zero- gator

Vertical Asymptote of f(x) = 2x/sin2x
Question: Find the Vertical Asymptote if any f(x)=[tex}\frac{2x}{\sin2x}[\tex] Im somewhat lost, I cross multi and get 1/2 although my friends tell me this just equals 1. Any ideas? err...cant get the cool math symbol things to work...- gator

Using the identities to find the values of each expression
so for question 1(i) the answer is...tan t = 1.87* ? 1(ii) 1/cos Pie/12 - sinx/cosx pie /12 1 - sin2x = cos2x. so... 1 - sin x / cosx (pie/12)^2 = (1/cosx (pie/12))^2 ahhh...im so lost #2...dont have a sweet clue...i have no notes on this...kinda clueless #3 is it cos225...- gator

Using the identities to find the vales of each expression
Ive been given very little notes from my teahcer, and can't do these. looked online, but its was no use. 1. Using the identities to find the vales of each expression (no calc.) (i) sin t = 15/17 , cos t = 8/17 find remaining trig functions (ii) sec^2 Pie/12 - tan^2 Pie/12 2. Find exact...- gator
