Is mathematics the root cause of the greatest misunderstanding in physics?
physicists-nonphysicists I do not know what causes the greatest misunderstanding in physics between physicists, but what causes the most misunderstanding between physicists and nonphysicists is the ambiguous meaninings of Time and Space. (Forget about explaining quantum problems- seems no one...- Gil Fuller

Graduate Quantum Tunneling: The Key To Teleportation?
Quantum travel I have a question: Does anyone know if the double slit experiment works for protons and neutrons? (usuallly one only reads about photons and electrons used in the double slit experiment.) If it does, then maybe there is a future for "quantum" travel. If not, then people will...- Gil Fuller

Undergrad What Does Dr. Kaku Mean by God of Order?
The concept of God is best left to religion because it is an idea with no empirical evidence and only obfuscates effort to do real science. The concept of god is a pseudoscientific concept representing the human desire for science to explain that which it cannot explain. Real science does not...- Gil Fuller

Are We Really Alone in the Universe?
The amount of Real Evidence for space aliens existing on this planet is zero. The amount of imaginary/specultative evidence is massive-enough to be certain. Take your choice: Which one is more plausible?- Gil Fuller

Graduate Is Our Universe Just One Bubble in a Multiverse?
Thanks Hyper Wave for the info. I was wondering if these genuine, physical dimensions have been assigned standard units (like metric units for lengths or seconds for time) or are they exotic units with special properties? Hope I you do not consider this a dumb question. Thanks.- Gil Fuller

Graduate Is Our Universe Just One Bubble in a Multiverse?
Are the eleven dimensions of M-theory real dimensions with real units (temporal and/or spacial) or are they purely mathmatical with no real dimensions? If anyone knows, I would appreciate the info.- Gil Fuller

Undergrad What is Nothing vs Absolutely Nothing?
Two forms of nothing There are really two forms of "nothing": 1)rational nothing-nothingness by definition and 2)empirical nothing-what could be there when one is at the limit of ones senses or sensors but detects nothing. In a rational system, something can either come from something or...- Gil Fuller

Is the Theory of Everything Incomplete Without Including God?
The inclusion of God in TOE does not make it complete, it makes it incomprehensible. It no longer is a theory but a nonempirical statement of faith (dogma). The original "equation" : me= God=you is a strange combination of the empirical and the imaginary and hence is nonsensical.- Gil Fuller

Undergrad What is Nothing vs Absolutely Nothing?
While it is true the "concept of nothing" is something-an "idea", it is also true that the essence of "nothing" is "non-something." Something cannot originate from "nothing" ( the essence-not the concept) because "origination" requires something change. If nothing changes, there is no...- Gil Fuller

Undergrad What is Nothing vs Absolutely Nothing?
nothing Nothing is simply the opposite of something. Nothing cannot contain anything, do anything, or be anything. If it does any of these things,or anything else at all, then it is something. Nothing is a simple concept. Why there is "something" is the interesting question.- Gil Fuller

Graduate Is Time Travel Truly Possible or Just a Fantasy?
Time travel is empirically impossible for the simple reason that there is no empirical past. The past exists only as memory and history. The atoms (molecules and subatomic particles) that composed the past have simply rearranged themselves and comprise the present. Travel to the past...- Gil Fuller
