Good point to check. I checked the offer letter I signed... it doesn't specifically say anything about me 100% going to them after I graduate... I mean, it's an offer letter with a salary figure/bonus/relo... what more should I be looking for? You wouldn't necessarily call this a 'contract' I...
I accepted a position with a major defense company (not Lockheed Martin or BAE) into their engineering leadership development program before this economy went down the drain.
As anyone would be, in any field, I'm a little nervous as to whether or not they'll cancel my job offer or...

Ok, let's say you have this diagram. http://www.ece.uvic.ca/499/2004a/group05/image/radix2.jpg
Can someone explain to me exactly what "N-point" means? Also...
Is it safe to enter the defense industry after I graduate in May 2009 with a BSEE?
I already have accepted a job with a major defense company in California. They do work mostly on radar/sonar/surveillance/missile defense.
I was in your position last year. I just finished my summer 08 internship.
I got the position in December before the summer. I didn't interview for companies until then. December/January is the regular timeframe for applying and interviewing for internships with many companies, like Lockheed...

I'm a senior electrical engineering major. I haven't taken any advanced physics courses, aside from General Physics I and II... and Electromagnetic Theory (junior level). I've always been interested in physics, but in a different sense than most people in this forum.
I'd like to...

For the fall semester, I am enrolled in 12 credits. Specifically, 3 classes. Which means 4 credits / class.
Class 1: Senior Project - 4 credits (normal class)
Class 2: Modern Art - 4 credits (normal class)
Class 3...
I'm going to do a Co-Op with a research institute, full-time during the Fall semester. It will be a traditional 40 hour work experience.
I will also be enrolling in school, fulltime during the Fall. I'll only be taking 8 real credits, and the other 4 are for an internship I'm doing this summer...
I work with them daily. I do some RF work, but not too much.
Believe it or not, you will not be doing RF all the time while employed at any defense company. There is so much extra BS that has to be done (paperwork, documents, addressing system problems, etc) that if you truly wanted a RF...
Hi
Is anyone aware of some interesting engineering/math/science or venture capital/entrepreneurship type volunteering organizations? I'm looking into volunteering online if I can.
Thanks
How useful is this software? Our company is deciding on purchasing a few licenses for this product. Any personal experiences? I hear the GUI is terrible, however I'm curious about the other features. I've looked through the documentation, it doesn't seem bad.
