Second order low pass filter with unity gain
Probably not, the question wasn't particulary specific, it just asked for a second order low pass filter so that's probably fine. Thank you for your help!- Henry

Second order low pass filter with unity gain
I had to design a two part system with a transimpedance amplifier then a second order low pass filter for a piece of coursework. It's specified that we cannot use a power supply larger than 5v for the opamps though, so I designed the system to take care of all of the gain during the...- Henry

Second order low pass filter with unity gain
Homework Statement I need to design a second order filter with unity gain. Homework Equations None - not taking component values into account for now. The Attempt at a Solution Is this a correct method of creating a 2nd order low pass filter with unity gain?- Henry

Using a photodiode in optical communications
Yeah I was a little confused when looking around because I saw a lot of people saying the same (i.e. that reverse bias is better). I'm a little confused to be honest, I might go and talk to my lecturer and see what he says, do you think he was implying weak signals by saying "long distance"?.- Henry

Using a photodiode in optical communications
Thank you! No sorry, by photovoltaic I mean a no bias setup with a photodiode and by photoconductive I mean a reverse bias setup like in the attachment :). That's a slide from my lecture notes.- Henry

Using a photodiode in optical communications
Homework Statement [/B] As part of my coursework in a sensor systems module at university I was given the question: State the most important reason why the photovoltaic (as opposed to photoconductive) mode would be the most suitable choice for a long distance fibre optic transmission system...- Henry
