Undergrad Solar cell (recording the power)

I tried today to calculate the power that the solar cell produced, connecting it to an ammeter(digital) and a voltmeter(digital) in series, my initial idea was to use the P=IV formula. However as i carried out the experiment the ammeter gave a showed 0.00 whilst the voltmeter showed 0.56...

High School How is light affected by glass sheets?

Is this for any sheet of glass or will its width change the amount of light reflected?

High School How is light affected by glass sheets?

But will the power of light change if i pass it through normal glass(used in windows)?

High School How is light affected by glass sheets?

I was thinking of doing an experiment that looked at how the power produced by solar cell is affected by the number of glass sheets placed between the solar cell and the glass sheets. However I am not sure what effect will glass have on light if any? can anyone tell me what effect glass has...

Undergrad Uncertainty of experiment relative or absolute

But could you please tell me how to know if the uncertainty is relative or absolute?

Undergrad Uncertainty of experiment relative or absolute

I calulated the time(s), then i found the uncertainty as a percentage of my results. Later on i calculated 1/time and used the uncertainty % which i originally calulated. Could somebody tell me if it is relative or absoulte uncertainty and why?

How can we ensure a 90 degree oscillation when pulling a slinky spring?

sorry if i wasn't very clear, what i wanted to ask was wether there was any way to ensure when pulling a slinky it oscillates at 90 degrees? like in the image bellow...

Undergrad Can Young's modulus be applied to slinky springs?

So based on what you said, can I say that we can apply the Young's modulus to the material of the slinky spring itself and therefore we can see in this graph http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Metal_yield.svg that as the limit E tends to 0 the spring gets damaged?

How can we ensure a 90 degree oscillation when pulling a slinky spring?

I have a question that asks me 'suggest how you would ensure that the propagation of the slinky spring is at 90°, when the spring is clamped to 2 clamp stands?

Undergrad Can Young's modulus be applied to slinky springs?

Could somebody please tell me if we can apply young modulus theory to a slinky spring, or can only be applied to a rod when strenched? If possible to apply to the slinky spring, how can we calculate the elasticity of that slinky spring?by the way what is the process by which slinky springs are...
