Good with math, but poor with physics?

I am the same way. I have aced all my calc class, LA, and DE (I really like DE). I even got an A in my first physics class, however, I have a new teacher this quarter and I am probably on a border line B/Cish in Electricity and Magnetism, kind of scary for me. The funny thing is I'm an EE and...

Help with prototype, hooking up sensors and a pump to a circuit?

Here's even a link for some sample code for some humidity sensors to get you started. http://www.arduino.cc/playground/Main/InterfacingWithHardware#envhum

Help with prototype, hooking up sensors and a pump to a circuit?

I think the best way to implement this in an easy and cost effective way is to go with an Arduino board ($30) for your microcontroller. http://www.arduino.cc/ It's very easy to use, programming it is a snap and the community is very large if you need some help.

Continue EE or change to Physics and Astronomy

I'm in a similar situation, luckily at my school I can dual major in physics and EE and only have to take 4 extra classes. Which over the next 2 years, that isn't that much more work. Like you guys I really do not enjoy my digital circuits classes at all, too much like computer...

    Dealing With "Nightmare" Professors

So I believe I have one of those "nightmare" professors for my digital circuits class this semester. I don't mean he's really hard in the sense he gives really hard exams or tons of homework. I am talking personality wise. He is THE most condescending and arrogant person I have ever met...

Which EE fields are in demand?

I got my internship without even interviewing because my boss said that they had a hard time finding any EE interns and just hired me on the spot. The head of our EE department at school said that US and most countries are in a severe shortage of engineers. He also said that large...

    Electronic Eng. Technology and EE

So at my school they have Electronic Engineering Technology & Electrical Engineering. However, the EET program is ABET accredited but the EE is not. They have the option of completing the EET degree then taking an additional 36 credits for the EE degree. So I'd have an ABET accredited degree...

Testing Recovering from a failed first exam

I believe the hardest part about Linear Algebra is learning all the new terminology which comes in the first part of the class. So it may actually not get harder as the semester goes on. I think LA tends to get easier as you progress through the course because you'll be more comfortable with...

Breaking the Catch-22 Loop: Gaining Experience Without Experience

12 seconds is slow in the 100 meters. :) Kidding, however, like everyone here has said, plenty of good advice given. You just only want to hear what you want to hear and ignore all the other good advice.

Do electrical engineers have to be good programmers?

I'm in my 1st year of my EE program and I have found out that I'm not that good of a programmer. I'm learning assembly language right now and have learned java, however, doing these programming assignments are very hard for me. So I was wondering how essential it is for electrical engineers to...

What are some good intro to differential equations books?

My professor has us using C. Henry Edwards and David E. Penney, Differential Equation and Boundary Value Problems, Fourth Edition. However, I don't really like it as our textbook. Anyone else have any recommendations?
