Undergrad Why Do Standing Waves Form with Two Free Ends?
Hi everyone! As we all know standing wave of 2 fixed ends formed by the combination of coming wave and reflection wave. But I wonder why there still have a reflection wave combinating with coming wave to form standing wave of 2 free ends? Many thanks.- huyhohoang

Solving Fredholm Equation: Step-by-Step Guide
Hi! I am now building a program to solve integral equation. I have understood the numerical method to solve it as well as others subroutines gauleg, ludcmp, lubksb but when I read this subroutine fred2 below, I don't know exactly the purpose of the author when putting the array omk(i,j) in the...- huyhohoang

Fluid - Work done to blow a soap bubble
Hi everybody, I now encounter some problems when try to solve this: Problem statement: Calculate the work done to blow a soap bubble to radius R. Knowing that the process is isotherm, the atmospheric pressure is H, the surface tension is γ. Solution: $$A = A_{1}+A_{2}$$ In which A1 is the work...- huyhohoang

High School Atmospheric Pressure: Why is it Equal?
Hello everyone! As we've known, the pressure at the bottom of a volume of gas is define by its weight times the height. So I wonder why the atmospheric pressure is equal in all direction? Many thanks- huyhohoang

Undergrad The change in entropy in adiabatic process
Hello everyone, I still wonder if there's a change in entropy in adiabatic process. The definition of entropy is a quantity represents for the disorder state of a system. Arccording to kinetic theory of gas, temperature is for the state of chaotic motion of molecules. So I'm very confuse, can...- huyhohoang
