What does the transpose of: example, [1 0 -1]? how can you transpose that? For example the L([a b c]*) --> [a + b a - c]* how do i show that this is a linear transformation?

Do all linearly dependent sets have elements that are linear combinations of each other? Or does this apply only to some of the Linearly Dependent sets?
And as a follow up question: How do you know if a set of 2x2 matrices is linearly dependent or linearly independent?

Is row echelon form an upper triangular matrix? if so, does this mean that its determinant could be 1 or 0? Even if its row equivalent has a different determinant? Please Answer and thanks.
