High School Which Triangle Experiences Greater Force in a Water Tank?
I have a scant knowledge of hydrostatics, to say the least. My answer is just a guess, given that they are identical triangles and they are at the same depth. The only difference is their position, but the basic formulas of pressure and force do not consider the position: p=dgh F=PA Am I... -

High School Which Triangle Experiences Greater Force in a Water Tank?
The question is part of a mechanical aptitude test. The correct answer is 2, but there is no explanation. I do not understand why is 2, and not "equal on both". Can anyone give me some clues?. -

Integrating a Square Root Function: Solution
Hello and thank you for answering. My problem begins with the part you quote. I don't know how to properly use the recursive formula in those cases. Regarding my attempt to calculate the integral, what I wrote above is everything.- Ikastun

Game Theory: Nim - Winning Strategy for 5 & 1000 Stones
Thank you all for your help. I think I got the solution after trying with n= 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. When n=4 A takes 1, they remain 3 so B loses. A's winning strategy is 1 stone in his first turn. When n=6 then A doesn't have any WS whether he takes 1 or 2 stones. If he takes 1 there are 5...- Ikastun
