ok thanks for your help Integral! and hypermorphism, sorry i just can't see how to get rid of the fractions... I'm sure its very easy and i will feel really dumb though...
well this is what i tried to do...
first i tried to combine them
(cos x - cos y) ( sin x - sin y)/ (sin x + sin y) (cos x + cos y)
then i got
(cos^2 x ) - (cos^2 y)/(sin x + sin y) (cos x + cos y) + (sin^2 x)(sin^2 y)/ (sin x + sin y) (cos x + cos y)
and after that part i kinda...
cos x - cos y sin x - sin y
sin x + sin y + cos x + cos y = 0
or to see better i guess...
(cos x - cos y)/(sin x + sin y) + (sin x - siny)/(cos x + cos y) = 0
can you guys help me? I'm really stuck on this!
i do not really understand... i was told i would most probably use conservation of energy and the 2d motion equations.. is that the same as what you explained?
Two children are playing a game in which they try to hit a small box on the floor with a marble fired from a spring-loaded gun that is mounted on a table. The target box is 2.20m horizontally from the edge of the table. Bobby compresses the spring 1.10cm, but the center of the marble falls...
Physic problem... springs
A 700g block is released from rest at height Ho(initial) above a vertical spring with spring constant k=400 N/m and negligible mass. The block sticks to the spring and momentarily stops after compressing the spring 19.0 cm.
How much work is done
A) by the block on...
