Specific volume and enthelpy of mercury

After being unable to hone the powers of "lord google", I turn to you to get me out of this sticky problem.

Specific volume and enthelpy of mercury

    If I am not mistaken the enthalpy of Saturated water @ the given properties should be determined like this: @ 4 bar hf = 604.68 kJ/kg hg = 2737.63 kJ/kg so at x = 0.5 h = (1-x)hf + (x)hg h = (0.5)604.68 + (0.5)2737.63 h = 1671.155 kJ/kg but after a lot of googling, I have been unable to find...

Specific volume and enthelpy of mercury

I have been away from thermodynamics for a while, and there is a young mechanical engineering student who asked my help in solving the question. For the life of me I am unable to solve this problem and I am at my wit's end. I believe I can solve the problem if some pointers are provided. Also...

    Solar Mounting (Mechanical Design)

Its looks good, however we need a bigger one, but your pictures help a lot  Thanks

    Solar Mounting (Mechanical Design)

Yes, I am considering aluminium strut channels for a closed frame (panels will be screwed and bound on the frame). What I would like some help with is force calculations and how to relate them the the system I would need. I went to a few dealers who create Aluminium profiles (not purpose built...

    Solar Mounting (Mechanical Design)

I mentioned 6m high to consider the wind load. The system will be ground mount. I am trying to make one myself as we don't have any companies here in Pakistan which specialize in mounting equipment (atleast I don't know), and budget is a deciding factor.

Torque Switching and Directional Tension in Pulleys

Tension and the force/load/weight always act opposite in direction. Think of tension as a load that balances the weight. So when the tension is due to the mass m1 (which directs weight downwards) it is in the upper direction which will take a U-turn after the pulley.

    Solar Mounting (Mechanical Design)

There is no snow here, but sometimes we experience wind-speed of up to 40mph. I used calculators provided on the internet to find out that with wind loads the total load of the panels will be around 11000 Newtons. Yes, I believe so. I was planning on using 3 to 6 pillars in a line, not supports...

    Solar Mounting (Mechanical Design)

I am planning to install a Solar system of 6KW of electricity output enough for a water pump (submersible) and a small home. I need help in designing a mounting which can hold upto 24 solar-panels (20kg each) at a height of 6 meters from the ground, and I also need to make an adjustment...

    Fluid Dynamics interesting critical problem

Theoretically both tanks will see an equal drop in water head. But in effect, tank 2 will have little or no change in head, depending on the length of the connection pipe. IF Qin = Qout
