Universe Expansion & The Speed of Light

I understand the implications, but I don't understand the logic behind it. Can someone explain/elaborate?

Universe Expansion & The Speed of Light

As a pure matter of human perception, I disagree. With an "exponentially increasing redshift," at some point it will become so close to invisible that it will be invisible...but this point is moot. As I see it, at some point in an accelerating universe the rate of acceleration between two...

Universe Expansion & The Speed of Light

I think my confusion resides in my flawed understanding of an accelerating universe. The framework through which the galaxies exist is expanding; the galaxies themselves are moving apart but not physically accelerating. At some point, two galaxies relative to one another may appear to break...

Universe Expansion & The Speed of Light

How is it possible for the rate of universe expansion to surpass the speed of light? (According to the Big Bang theory, and according to the model of an accelerating universe, hasn't/won't the universe surpass the speed of light?)
