Graduate Does Matter Truly Exist or Is It Just a Configuration of Energy Fields?
Does matter exist? In our reality, yes, it does. However, is reality real? The way I tend to think of the world is as a giant simulation. We are not "real" to the world that may simulate us, however, to ourselves, we are. Matter is simply a measurement, as is energy, within a giant program. Our...- Kison

High School Life Span of a Photon - Photonics.com
Good find. I had read that they got the photon box working, but nothing more than that, really. I believe Einstein suggested this sort of device?- Kison

High School Why does everything electrical we see give its voltage?
Voltage is another word for potential difference. Imagine a D-sized battery. You have the positive and negative side. Voltage describes the potential difference between the positive and negative side. This relates to the electric field & Coulomb's Law. Basically, the positive side of the...- Kison

Undergrad Question Concerning Coulomb's Law
One of Newton's laws(1 or 2) states that every force has an equal and opposite force. Coulomb's law describes subatomic particles interacting with one another. Electrons repel each-other relative to their distance while attracting protons relative to each-other. My question is, will the...- Kison

High School Questions About Subatomic Particles
Thankies. Another one I forgot to ask earlier, Electrons circle the "nucleus" of an atom, which contains the protons/neutrons. In the case of a hydrogen atom, why does the electron begin to "orbit" the proton instead of continuing to approach it?- Kison

High School Questions About Subatomic Particles
Hi, new here. Love Physics. I have a few question if you all don't mind my asking... 1) Can a proton, neutron, or electron be said to have a velocity? I'd say yes, but just want to make sure before I go on. 2) Let us suppose that in the universe, there are only two particles. One...- Kison
