Kinetic Friction and Newtons 2nd Law
Homework Statement A car weighing 15000N experiences a drag force of 1200N. The car travels 30m/s on a level highway. The coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.2. If the car travels for 10s at this speed, calculate the power the engine produces. The car then goes up a 10 degree constant...- larryboi7

Find the velocity of the swimmer relative to the shore
Homework Statement A swimmer is moving 30 degrees south of east at a constant speed of 5mph relative to the water. A current is flowing 30 degrees west of north at a constant speed of 1.5mph. Find the velocity of the swimmer relative to the shore. After 2 hours, what is the swimmers...- larryboi7

What Is the Optimal Launch Angle for Maximum Range When Landing 3 Meters Lower?
The equation would be initial velocity is 5m/s 0 = 3 + 5sin(x) - (1/2)gt^2 x(t) = 5cos(x) * t I know what differentiation is but I can't see how it will work to find the angle for maximum range.- larryboi7

What Is the Optimal Launch Angle for Maximum Range When Landing 3 Meters Lower?
How can i find the angle of which an object will be thrown the farthest? I know the angle will be 45 degrees if it were to be catched at the same height it were thrown, but what I'm looking for is the angle if it were 3meters off the ground. Thank you for the help.- larryboi7

Height of the two balls collision
Homework Statement Ball A is dropped from the top of a building of height 'h' at the same instant that Ball B is thrown vertically upward from the ground. When the balls collide, they are moving in opposite directions, and the speed of A is twice the speed of B. At what height does the...- larryboi7
