Where Should a 150N Weight Be Placed on a Ladder to Achieve Equilibrium?
Yes the pivot is at 2.5 mark of the ladder from the left. Sorry my picture wasn't clear. Is my understanding correct? Thank you!- learn2physics

Physics Fundamentals : Free Body Diagram
Oh my! Sorry! What a silly mistake I made. It should be tan(30) = F/5 (opposite/adjacent) F = 5tan(30) F = 2.89 (3 sig. fig.) Therefore the force F is 28.9N Am I understanding this correctly? Thank you!- learn2physics

Physics Fundamentals : Free Body Diagram
OH! If I am understanding it correctly, The vertical component of T2 is 50N Therefore force F is at the base. http://i.imgur.com/NCCD8Hy.jpg Am I right to say: Using a scale diagram, 1cm representing 10N sin(30) = F/5 F = 5sin(30) F= 2.5cm Therefore, the reading of force F...- learn2physics

Physics Fundamentals : CRO and Potential Divider
OH! Am I right to say this: If the timebase setting was 5 seconds per division and the terminal is moved quickly, I will see a trace that was lower initially and then a gradual slope upwards (positive gradient) then a constant horizontal line at its new higher trace reading. Am I...- learn2physics

I have look through my textbook and for this question I am having weird answers. I believd I have not fully understand yet. I have tried to identify all the forces. http://i.imgur.com/HexCRVQ.jpg Does this make sense? I made a bad calculation mistake on previous attempt From what I...- learn2physics

Physics Fundamentals : CRO and Potential Divider
Hi. Yes. It is exactly as worded. I am sorry I forgot to typed the y-gain and time base into the question. I edited it on the front post now. The y-gain is 2V per division, time base setting is 1.0ms per division. I want to know if my understanding is correct. If I move the potential...- learn2physics

Physics Fundamentals: Work Done
Homework Statement This is a theoretical question that I do not quite fully understand. " An object moving up a 6m ramp to a height of 2m v.s vertically moving an object up 2m." Someone tell me the work done is the same for both scenario. How are they the same? Surely kinetic energy is...- learn2physics
